Adobe Acrobat 7.0
From LoveToKnow Business
Adobe Acrobat 7.0 has many new and improved features that can add to your productivity without subtracting from your bottom line. Standard and Professional versions are offered, both an improvement over previous incarnations.
The Standard version ($299) will be sufficient for most small business owners. But if you have a need for creating forms and other documents, the Pro version ($449) is the one for you. Both versions are able to run in either Windows, Apple or Linux environments.

New Features To Boost Productivity
- Faster Launch Speed
- Much improved over the previous versions.
- Easier navigation
- Scanning to PDF requires just one click, while portions or complete Web pages can be captured and saved as a PDF file with only two.
- Dual window document views
- Adobe Acrobat 7.0 offers a dual-window option that allows viewing of two or more document sections simultaneously. This feature can both reduce search time and allow quick comparisons of document sections or versions for editing.
- Increased search capabilities
- Search for words in annotations, bookmarks, form fields, or data within open PDF files or any PDF file on a PC.
- More powerful document and form interaction
- Adobe Acrobat 7.0 now includes Adobe LiveCycle Designer 7, previously only available separately. LiveCycle allows a user to review and add comments to forms using XML language for data sharing. You can also apply digital signature and stamps, and save filled-in forms.
- Improved attachment saving options
- PDF files can be created and attached to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook with the touch of a button. The software also offers page thumbnail views and active hyperlinks.
- More wizardly wizard
- An improved wizard offers several standard business documents templates including purchase orders, invoices and timesheets. You can also generate forms from databases, Web services or imported PDF files. The wizard allows export of images for online photo processing or slides for display and sharing. It controls the limits of specific data that can be entered into a form, such as phone numbers for ordering, or number changes in invoices.
- Free Yahoo! toolbar
- Included is a free Yahoo! toolbar with a pop-up blocker
- Adobe Reader 7.0: still free & faster
- Adobe Reader 7.0 is now faster and has a new feature that allows users to annotate E-mail documents created in Acrobat 7 Pro. This means your clients can add comments or suggested changes to documents without being required to buy the Pro version. This feature alone could substantially reduce meeting and travel time.
