A resume objective is a condensed profile that explains the type of position you seek and why you're the right person for that position. The challenge comes in that the objective should focus on the company, and how your skills will benefit that company. To further challenge the resume writer, a good objective must be short enough to be scanned within a few seconds. In those few seconds, a good objective for a resume conveys your value to the prospective employer.
