-- Contributed by: essienDave, thanks for contributing your thoughts on the 4 way test.
-- Contributed by: Jeanne GrunertGood overall summary. Most important for me, the 4 Way Test. This is the same 4 Way Test that Rotary International (founded 100 years ago) uses to guide our members in all relationships.
A Rotarian is credited with originating the 4 Way Test in 1932 and Rotary International adopted the 4 Way Test in its principles in 1943.
"The Story Behind the 4 Way Test" can be found by Googling.
Rotary Club of St. Louis (Club 11 - founded in 1910) has been providing seminars to local college business students on Ethics in Business founded on The 4 Way Test and our own personal business experience.
Please use Rotary - 30,000 + clubs with 1.2 Million as an example of use of the 4 Way Test. Also, unless you have a more on origin, I'd suggest crediting Mr. Taylor as the origin.

Like I said to Sharan and Kadapopa, the topic doesn't garner a short and simple answer, It's a complex issue that takes various factors into account.
-- Contributed by: Donna SundbladHi Kadapopa,
While we'd like a short, easy-to-understand explanation of business ethics, it's not quite as black and white as we'd like. The topic is complex and takes many factors into account.

Verbal agreements are tricky. It is best for you to contact an attorney for advice specific to Georgia law to learn your options.
-- Contributed by: Donna SundbladI Recently Moved from ny to georgia with the notion of purchasing a business from an investor and If I have been keeping my end of the bargain and paying all bills timely and paying our verbal agreement even though legally or on paper I am not an owner do I have any leverage or a leg to stand on if he listed the business foer sale without my knowledge.
