Michael, the type of equipment and costs will vary. You will need to do your research here and compare various equipment types, the cost of leasing, renting or buying outright. You may need dump trucks, dumpsters (and carters to remove them), front loaders and other equipment. I would compare the costs of buying, renting or leasing and look for ways to do the job with the least amount of equipment to safely handle it.

Check with your local or state licensing bodies about contractor and construction licensing requirements for insurance requirements for your area.
