In two months, I made close to $1,600 selling products supplied by National Gift. I think it is important that somebody understands that wholesale dropshipping companies like National Gift provide a great deal of services that are designed to be a profitable endeavor, before they allow wholesale purchasers.

Hi -

National Gift.Com is one company that one should be careful of using as a gift basket drop shipper. Their products are nice; however, if you do not purchase $99.00 in one month worth of merchandise, your Card will be charged $45.00 automatically. In today's economy or anytime for that matter, who can be absolutely sure they'll sell enough each month. $45.00 can go a long way for your Family or it may not be in your account at all but you will be liable for it. Don't just fill the pockets of this company for nothing in return. Read the fine print of the Agreement BEFORE you sign on the dotted line - they will not do business with you unless you SIGN.

Hi Michelle,

Unfortunately we can't recommend one over another. Have you checked online to see if there are any websites where people can post feedback on each of the companies? Sometimes you can find reviews of various companies, feedback from current customers, etc. This may give you the information that you need. Good luck with your gift basket business and thanks for leaving a comment.

I currently operate a small part time gift basket business from my home, selling to mostly local florists and at craft shows. I want to expand into drop shipping and possibly have my business on a full time basis, but I'm a bit skeptical about drop shippers. Can you tell me which ones are reputable and don't charge any fees/minimum order charges?

Hi Lary,

You can read Gift Basket FAQ Index to get a lot of your questions answered. Hope that helps.

Hi Everyone! We are starting a new online gift basket company. There is a lot to know and understand which we are finding out. We have found several drop ship companies to work with, and we know there are good ones and not so good ones. We also know there are more out there, we have not even found that are good to work with too. One concern we have is that we have been told some of the companies, when they drop ship to our customers, will send their literature and pricing to our customers. We have also found some of the companies give the pricing to the public so they know exactly how much we pay for each basket. We are open to suggestions and lots of ideas, we know it is a very competitive market, however if people would share their thoughts we would appreciate their input to this subject.

Thanks Lary

Hi Audrey,

That is sad news. The ideas behind drop shippers is that they can buy in huge volumes, and because of this should be able to offer you the best prices on products and shipping. Do the shipping costs with your drop shipper compare to competitors?

I have been with a drop shipper for a couple of months now, but had constant problems with my web site and their product uploads. I used a web master they referred me to, but had multiple problems just getting my site up and running. After all of this, I went to order a couple of products to use as samples. I found out that they will charge shipping cost for each item. This turns out to be very expensive for the customer in the long run. I am wondering if anyone else is facing these challenges getting their business up and running... especially the problem with the shipping methods and cost?

I'm pretty disappointed after all the money I put into this site, I will probably have to fold. I just can't see that it will be viable for drawing customers if they have to pay such high costs if they order more than one item.

I would appreciate any feedback if someone is facing the same situation with their shipping costs.
