It's always a good idea to include a conclusion. The conclusion should summarize very briefly the memo, and either ask for action (with a deadline) or thank the reader.
-- Contributed by: Jeanne GrunertDo the memo has to have a conclusion? If so, what should be mentioned in it?
-- Contributed by: MigleDamilare, this article provides examples. Please see the links provided to Sitty (below your message). These will contain more information to help you write a memo. The features are also shown in the examples.

-- Contributed by: SittyGutherie, Oregon State provides a sample of a payroll procedure memo. You may find this, or one of the examples linked to from the article, helpful. There may not be an example available that deals with exactly the same problem. By changing some of the words though from the samples, and following the guidelines given, you should be able to create your own sample memo.
-- Contributed by: Jeanne Grunerti'm looking for example of recommendation memo's involving an office procedure. please help me as soon as possible.
-- Contributed by: GutherieMelissa, Using the format suggested in the article, you may want to start off by stating the purpose of the memo, restating the human resources policy on employee communications and respectful interactions, and closing the memo by restating the desired outcomes. Because this deals with a supervisor's behavior, you may want to have someone from human resources review it before distributing it. Good luck with your situation.

Memo are a form of interoffice correspondence. If you work within the ministry you could use a memo format along with the points your want to make along with the action to be taken. However, if you want to correspond and don't work within the ministry you should send a business letter.

One tool that can help you write an effective memo regarding school uniforms is the school's policy on the subject. Include details of the policy in bulleted format in the body of the memo for emphasis. Include school uniform or dress code requirements that apply. Remember to follow this format:
- I am writing because...
- The facts are...
- I will, or I propose that you...
I'd like to write a memo as a class representative to inform my class to dress in come proper uniform.
-- Contributed by: as a class representative give information to my to come in proper uniformHi Mhonzki,
The same basic memo format is used for all memos, whether they are informational, preprinted or written from or two a specific department. Let me know if you have a specific question.

Do you mean how to create a memo in an email?
It is recommended that a formal business memo be written in hard copy for a number of reasons:
- email is not private--people with the wherewithal can even locate deleted emails
- A sheet of formal company letterhead commands respect
In contrast, many look at emails as:
- Missives usually sent in haste
- No guarantee that the wrong eyes won't read the memo
Hi Jacky,
Here is a copy of your memo with suggested changes. The last paragraph should be reworked. It is unclear what action is expected. Are they to submit the engineer request? Are they to come up with a list of possible solutions? Ask yourself what the purpose of the memo is and go from there.
MEMORANDUM
To: Engineer Team
From: Production Manager
Date: 26 March 2008
Re: Customer Complaint
The wafers shipped on 23 March 2008 only achieved 89% yield. this is not satisfactory as the customer specification is 98% yield. The XX companies (if you mean two or more companies this is correct--other wise it should be XX company) demanded a claim against the yield loss of the wafers as well as the 8D investigation report.
The respective engineer request to investigate the cause of why and how the low yield has been issued, and find the solution as soon as possible.
Thank you.

-- Contributed by: suzanaHi Tess,
We have plenty of information to help you learn how to write a memo. The following links will take you to informative articles regarding writing a memo. Let me know if you have further questions.
-- Contributed by: Donna Sundbladplease send me business memo format, how to write a memo
-- Contributed by: tessHi Celine,
When trying to organize your memo, start by answering: Why am writing? Putting your answers in writing will help you organize your thoughts and will give you the first part of your memo.
Next list the facts. The memo is not based on your opinions, but on facts. List them along with the concerns they generate for your workplace.
And lastly you'll want to present the solutions you have in mind. These can be introduced by saying "I willâ¦" or "I propose that youâ¦" if you expect your manager to take action.
I hope that helps. Let me know if you have further questions.
-- Contributed by: Donna SundbladHi... I have difficulty in my case study about writing a Memo to the manager about cultural differences managers will face when the new operation is inaugurated.
-- Contributed by: Celine PhangHi Mike,
Sorry, but we don't write memos for our readers, but instead equip them with the information to do it themselves. Here are a few more articles to help you along the way:
-- Contributed by: Donna SundbladCan you please help me in writing a memo because I have no idea at all. Here are the situation:
You are employed by Metroville College, a small college that provides a range of training and education, including Computing, and Information and Communications Technology (ITC). the Head of Department of ITC, Mr Sukhwinder Dhassi, has discovered that on more than one occasion recently a computer virus has been introduced to the computers in the department. he thinks that the the viruses have been introduced from computer disks brought in by students. he has decided to introduce a system where all disks used in the department must be checked for a virus before they can be put into the computers.
He says to you, "I'd like you to send a memo in my name to all the teachers who use the computer rooms. You'll have to tell them that all disks brought in by students must be checked before they are used. The teachers have to check them carefully, of course. We've got to stop these viruses being introduced before they cause serious problems. Oh yes, remind them to lock up the rooms when they leave. Please tell them to be careful what they say to students; we are not sure which students have introduced the virus so we should not upset them all".
Maybe you can do this for me because I have no idea in doing this. Thanks.
-- Contributed by: Mike LegayadaHi Ricky if you use the tips offered in the comment to MPHO you have what you need.
- You're righting because: You want to alert your instructor the the situation
- The facts are: The speed of the computer and internet
- I will or I prose that you: Offer your solution and how it can be implemented
hi i need a example of memo, i want send a memo to our instructor about the speed of the computer and the internet of our computer laboratory. thank you for your help
-- Contributed by: rickyHi MPHO,
Consider the points made in this article:
- I am writing because - You are writing to request a printer
- The facts are - Lay out why you are requesting the printer. Did your manager tell you to request it? Or do you have a title that give you the authority? Make this clear along with why you need the printer. Did the other one break? Has the department grown and you need another?
- I will, or I propose that you - And close with your plan for how to implement getting the computer, how it will be paid for and where to deliver it.
HI , I HAVE TO WRITE A MEMO TO REQUEST A PRINTER, I DONT KNOW WHAT TO SAY
-- Contributed by: MPHO NGOASHENGHi Osiris,
Memos are written to solve problems such as:
- Introduce new information like policy changes
- Introduce new products
- Persuade the reader to take action
Depending on what product information you will include you may want to expand the information into a report. However, if your product comparison introduces new products it would be considered the "fact" of the memo.
-- Contributed by: Donna Sundbladhello would like a example on how to do a memo comparing threeproducts please.

When you write your memo remember you purpose is to inform the company of specific information such as:
- Persuade them to take action
- Give them feedback on an issue
- React to a situation
- Provide basic information such as a meeting time or due dates
Memos are a convenient way to communicate but be sure to ask yourself if a meeting is more appropriate.
If you decide the memo is the way to go, outline your purpose for writing the memo to help you best communicate.
